- MISSION STATEMENT -

“Caritas, which means 'Love' and 'Hope' in Latin, is a charitable mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine. As the military conflict is still raging in the East of Ukraine, Caritas-Spes performs activities such as distribution of food, clothing and medicine. It provides psychological assistance to people in need and even some financial support to those living in areas that are not under government control. Caritas-Spes has also started a significant medical project which involves activities mainly in the Eastern part of the country.

“The Center for Disaster Philanthropy’s (CDP) response to this crisis is focused on humanitarian needs that arise, particularly among internally-displaced peoples (IDPs) and refugees. The CDP Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Recovery Fund focuses on addressing humanitarian needs that arise, particularly among the most vulnerable, marginalized and at-risk internally-displaced peoples and refugees. CDP is also in contact with and can grant to Ukrainian and other international organizations that are not 501(c)3 entities.”

“Children of War Foundation was established in 2010 initially to help save one child's life, that child was 9-year-old Hashim from Baghdad. Since 2010, and more recently in a COVID-19 pandemic world, COWF has evolved from saving one life at a time to now being on the forefront of systematic change with life enabling healthcare and education. Thanks to our partners, Dignity Health North Ridge Hospital, we are now preparing to send our next deployment of emergency medical supplies, including infant formula, bottles and other critical items that have been requested by our counterparts in Ukraine and Poland.”

“Convoy of Hope is a faith-based, nonprofit organization with a driving passion to feed the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreach, and disaster response. Convoy has already served more than 100,000 displaced Ukrainians and will continue to reach those in need across eight European countries. Convoy continues to send small, unmarked vehicles across the Ukrainian border, which are full of relief supplies like food, water, hygiene items, bedding supplies, clothes, and other necessities. Convoy of Hope has not wavered in its mission to meet Ukrainians where they are, supporting them as they live day by day.”

“CORE is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are a crisis response organization that brings immediate aid and recovery to underserved communities across the globe. When a crisis strikes, we respond immediately to fill gaps, mobilize resources, and establish trust and collaboration from within communities to empower them to break perennial cycles of poverty and vulnerability. CORE is on the ground in Poland and Romania working with international and local partners to support the immediate needs of people fleeing war in Ukraine. Our response will begin in the Polish border towns of Lublin and Rzeszów and initially focus on providing cash assistance to help families get access to life-saving items, such as food, water, and safe transit to shelter [and] distributing hygiene kits with soap, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, and other essential hygiene items, as well as emergency thermal blankets to keep refugees warm amid freezing temperatures.”

“Direct Relief is working with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health and other groups in the region to provide requested medical aid—from oxygen concentrators to critical care medicines—while preparing to offer longer-term assistance to people displaced or affected by the war. Mass displacement leads to a host of health problems. Direct Relief is already working with medical manufacturers to source the medical aid needed in the coming weeks and months.”

“Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff are on the ground in Ukraine assessing humanitarian needs, delivering urgent medical supplies, providing training to hospitals on how to manage mass casualty incidents, and preparing to further expand activities. So far we have brought in more than 4,200 cubic feet of medical supplies, including surgical kits, trauma kits, and other basic necessities.”

“Global Empowerment Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 as a first responder to global disasters. On the second day of the crisis, Global Empowerment Mission and BStrong had arrived in Medyka, Poland, along the Ukrainian-Polish border offering aid and support to refugees fleeing Ukraine. Since then, we have established solutions and strategies to recognize and assist all those affected not only in Ukraine, but those displaced in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, Georgia, and beyond.”

“HealthRight has operated in Ukraine continuously since 2005, with 119 dedicated staff (all Ukrainian nationals) working in every region to strengthen the public health system and increase access to quality health services. Since 2016, they have provided housing, health care, and social support to over 125,000 people affected by violence in and around the occupied territories. Today our staff are themselves affected by needless violence, fleeing their homes for the nearest bomb shelter. Despite this, our teams continue to work remotely under incredible duress.”

“Heart to Heart International (HHI) is a global humanitarian organization focused on improving access to health. Since its inception in 1992, HHI has delivered medical aid and supplies worth $2.4 billion to more than 130 countries, including within the United States. Throughout this humanitarian crisis [in Ukraine], Heart to Heart International (HHI) and HOPE worldwide (HOPEww) have been working around the clock to provide support and essential aid to people and families in Ukraine. HHI shipped $20 million (54 pallets) containing over 30,000 pounds of medicine and supplies from their warehouse in Lenexa, Kansas, to HOPEww’s team on the ground in Warsaw, Poland, so they can transport it into Ukraine to help the Ukrainian Ministry of Health restock hospitals and clinics. As the needs grow, more plans are being worked on to provide additional short-term and long-term support for the people of Ukraine.”

“Humanity & Inclusion (the new name of Handicap International) is a 38-year-old independent and impartial organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Teams in Ukraine & Moldova include experts in rehabilitation, logistics, mental health and psychosocial support, basic needs, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities and older people. In addition to providing specialized rehabilitation services, psychosocial support and cash distribution, among other initiatives, Humanity & Inclusion is providing assistive mobility devices such as wheelchairs, canes and walkers.”

“The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. The ICRC has been working in Ukraine since 2014. Our operations in the country are among the ten largest ICRC operations worldwide with a team of over 600 staff members. Working closely with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, we are increasing our response to the humanitarian needs in Ukraine. Our support to people includes emergency assistance such as food, water, and other essential items. We also support hospitals and primary healthcare facilities with medical equipment and emergency preparedness. We repair water stations and support households to rehabilitate their damaged homes. We also help families separated by the conflict reconnect.”

“IFAW has received a tremendous global response to the emergency aid we're providing to our local animal shelter partners in Ukraine. At several border crossing points along the Ukrainian-Polish border, refugee welcome centers have been set up. Every day, thousands of refugees come in who need a place to stay overnight, before continuing their journey into Poland and from there other neighboring countries. Our team has visited several of these border crossings, supporting the local veterinary teams and distributing water, pet food, harnesses and carriers to refugees who have fled Ukraine with their pets.”

“International Medical Corps is expanding its relief efforts inside Ukraine in response to the war there, as well as in neighboring countries, to provide medical, mental health and protection services to the millions of people affected by the conflict, including refugees. The IRC is on the ground in Poland supporting displaced children and families with vital supplies.”

“Malteser International. We are the worldwide humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta.  Our mandate is to provide relief and recovery during and following conflicts and disasters. We are primarily active in the field of health, in which we have more than 60 years of continuous experience. We are working day and night in Ukraine, at the borders of neighboring countries, and in other countries where refugees are arriving, to help people fleeing the violence. We provide them with hot meals, water, blankets, medical and psychosocial care. Further aid and relief transports are being organized to support our teams in Ukraine.”

“Since 1954, MAP has served millions of people through the help of partners, donors, hospitals, clinics, and medical mission teams, fulfilling its Christian mission to provide life-changing medicines and health supplies for the world’s poorest, most vulnerable people. A humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Ukraine as an escalated armed conflict put millions of lives at risk. The number of injured survivors is mounting as fighting continues. “Nova Ukraine is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about Ukraine in the US and throughout the world and providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We work closely with non-profits and volunteers focused on helping Ukraine. We organize fundraisers, meetings with Ukrainian famous people, round tables discussions dedicated to Ukraine and Ukrainian culture and participate in various cultural events.. As the situation on the ground in Ukraine continues to change rapidly, delivering supplies to critical cities remains hazardous and difficult. Such deliveries are performed by volunteers and partner organizations we support with small grants. In addition to immediate relief, we purchase life-saving medical supplies and equipment so badly needed in Ukraine, which we also transport for rapid delivery. This work is ongoing, and reports are prepared based on delivery data. Through our donations, we are able to finance our partners on the ground and bring immediate relief as well as purchase orders for in-demand tactical medical supplies and equipment.”

“Operation Blessing is a nonprofit, humanitarian organization dedicated to partnering with you to demonstrate God’s love by alleviating human suffering in the U.S. and around the world. Right now, Operation Blessing is responding to the crisis in Ukraine, providing emergency relief and supplies to Ukrainian refugees. At the Poland border, our teams have set up tents and medical clinics, and are distributing vital supplies like food, water filtration devices, solar lamps, and hygiene kits.”

“People in Need. We are a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded on the ideals of humanism, freedom, equality and solidarity. Immediately after the start of the current conflict, People in Need began delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine and providing support to refugees arriving in the Czech Republic and other countries. We operate in the west and east of Ukraine, where our humanitarian trucks and trains are heading and where our team of more than 100 people works; in neighbouring countries we help those arriving from Ukraine in cooperation with local organisations; and in most regions of the Czech Republic we provide social assistance to refugees.”

“Founded in 1958, Project HOPE is a renowned global health and humanitarian relief organization. Our lifesaving work addresses the world’s greatest public health challenges, transforming lives and uplifting communities. Project HOPE began working in Ukraine in 2002 and continues to rapidly scale up activities in Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, and Romania, with full teams including leads, medical coordinators, mental health specialists, and logisticians in place. We continue to procure and deliver medical supplies into Ukraine, as well as to support local NGOs in providing support to impacted populations.”

“Razom was born out of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 when millions of people worked together and risked their lives to build a pathway to a better future for Ukraine. Those who were unable to be in Ukraine during this time, wanted to do their part to help the movement as best they could from abroad. In New York, a handful of the organizers and participants of those activities decided to form an organization that could help sustain momentum and propel forward the important work started on the Maidan.  They named it Razom, which means 'together' in Ukrainian and serves as a constant reminder of the community that it takes to create, build and do, to stay the path towards a more prosperous and democratic Ukraine. Today, the sovereign nation of Ukraine has to deal with the most horrendous and catastrophic emergency – a brutal invasion.  Razom is responding to this by providing critical humanitarian war relief and recovery depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve.”

“Sunflower of Peace is a non-profit organization committed to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion. Due to the current crisis in Ukraine, Sunflower of Peace started a new fundraiser to provide medical and humanitarian aid that will be used by the paramedics and doctors in the areas that are affected by the violence in Ukraine. We are acquiring and distributing first-aid backpacks, medicine, medical instruments, and other means of survival that are saving hundreds of lives.”

“Team Humanity is a not-for-profit humanitarian organization committed to providing humanitarian and educational outreach to vulnerable communities in the US and abroad by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, as well as nurturing and promoting human welfare. We are on the ground at the border of Moldova and Ukraine and have evacuated over 2,000 women and children directly from war scenarios in Ukraine. In addition to this, we are providing over 5,000 meals per day along with water and blankets. We also help the women and children to did temporary accommodation and seek permanent asylum. As tension increases in Ukraine, time is becoming scarce. We need to act extremely fast to ensure a safe evacuation and reduce casualties.”

“United Help Ukraine, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization receiving and distributing donations, food and medical supplies to Ukrainian IDPs (internally displaced people), people of Ukraine affected by Russia’s invasion into Ukraine, families of wounded or killed for freedom and independence of Ukraine. Our activities focus on fund-raising events, raising awareness of the crisis in Ukraine by engaging individuals, organizations, private and government institutions, and media in the United States of America.”

“The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was created in 1946 to bring emergency food and health care to children and mothers in countries devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF's mandate was extended to address long-term needs of children and women in developing countries worldwide. UNICEF has been working nonstop in eastern Ukraine, delivering lifesaving programs for affected children and families as fighting has taken an increasingly heavy toll on the civilian population of 3.4 million people — including 510,000 children — living in the Donbas region. As needs escalate in line with the conflict, UNICEF is rapidly stepping up emergency response efforts from field offices in Kramatorsk, Mariupol, Luhansk and Donetsk while also working with partners to expand relief operations across the country.”

“UNHCR, or the UN Refugee Agency, was established in 1950 to provide and coordinate international relief for refugees and displaced people. UNHCR has been working in Ukraine since 1994, alongside local authorities, partners and community organizations to deliver protection and humanitarian assistance to people in need and remains on the ground to help now. UNHCR is distributing emergency supply kits with items like thermal blankets and water cans. UNHCR is also helping to set up transit centers to assess the needs of newly displaced people and provide temporary shelter. The most vulnerable families are receiving cash assistance to address urgent needs.”

“United Nations World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, saving lives in emergencies and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability and prosperity for people recovering from conflict, disasters and the impact of climate change. The WFP is on the ground right now providing critical food assistance for people fleeing the conflict [in Ukraine]… and we are setting up operations in neighboring countries to facilitate delivery of food assistance into Ukraine.”

“United Sikhs is a U.N. affiliated, international, non-profit, non-governmental, humanitarian relief, education, human development and advocacy organization that aims to empower those in need, especially disadvantaged and minority communities around the world. UNITED SIKHS has volunteers from around the globe at our base camp at the Polish-Ukrainian border serving thousands of refugees daily. Our teams are entering into the warzone in Ukraine several times a day to provide emergency medical aid including urgent requests by Ukrainian government for a list of medications. We have set up a heated tent that is serving as a temporary refuge to over 5000 refugees a day with beds, blankets, toys and other supplies. Our food truck at the base camp is serving hot meals and snacks to 5000-6500 refugees per day . Our supply tents are distributing life-saving relief supplies including Female Hygiene and Sanitation Kits, Dental Kits, Children’s items, Clothing and other essentials. With enhanced security and strict protocols, our teams are helping prevent human trafficking attempts and reporting suspects.”

“The Voices of Children Foundation has been helping children affected by the war since 2015. Thanks to you, we provide psychological and psychosocial support to children. It helps them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and develop. Today, during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are providing non-stop assistance to affected children and families from all over the country, providing emergency psychological assistance, and assisting in the evacuation process.”

“World Central Kitchen (WCK), founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés [pictured above], is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions. WCK has served more than 60 million fresh meals to people impacted by natural disasters and other crises around the world. WCK’s Resilience Programs strengthen food and nutrition security by training chefs and school cooks; advancing clean cooking practices; and awarding grants to farms, fisheries, and small food businesses while also providing educational and networking opportunities. WCK has been serving meals to thousands of families escaping the violence in Ukraine and people still remaining in the country each day.”

“World Institute on Disability (WID) advances the inclusion, rights and justice of people with disabilities with the design and delivery of whole community solutions. WID through our role in the Global Alliance for Disaster Resource Acceleration (GADRA) has launched a full scale response in support of people with disabilities in Ukraine. For over 30 days Fight For Right and GADRA have been working 24/7 to help fellow Ukrainians with disabilities to evacuate; tirelessly pursuing accessible transportation, necessary resources, and information, to safe accessible destinations.”

“World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God. World Vision is working to support refugees in Romania, where we aim to provide hundreds of thousands of people with essential aid, including emergency assistance packages and educational and psychological support. We’re also working with partners to support refugees in Moldova and within Ukraine to support displaced families. We’ve delivered much-needed food and medical supplies to a hospital in Ukraine that is also serving as a temporary shelter for displaced children and their families.”
